Music
The Stage 4 Music course is designed to provide an introduction to formal classroom Music education and is studied in Year 8.
The aim of the course is to provide students with opportunities to perform, organise sound and listen to many styles of music within our own culture and that of others past and present.
Students' perform using class sets of tuned and untuned percussion instruments and acoustic guitars. They learn to read and write music on computers, whilst gaining confidence and a sense of discipline.
Despite Stage 4 music classes being ungraded, a number of extension opportunities are offered for students with previous Music knowledge and/or experience. It is through these activities that leadership and teamwork skills are developed.
