Visual Arts
The Visual Arts course in Stage 4 is designed to provide a broad range of experiences for students in Year 7. As students come from a wide range of art experiences we wish to encourage students to develop their skills in art making, and critical and historical studies using relevant subject matter as a starting point.
The course provides students with opportunities to gain confidence and understanding of all aspects of art practice.
The course develops students' literacy and critical skills through structured activities designed to extend the more able students and developed scaffolds are used to enhance the students' art vocabulary, spelling, comprehension and descriptive writing ability.
All students are expected to record their experiences in their Visual Arts Process Diary (VAPD).
