The aim of History is to enable students to acquire the knowledge and understanding, historical skills and values and attitudes essential to an appreciation of the past and as preparation for informed and active citizenship in a changing world.
We aim to encourage a thirst for knowledge, love of learning and a sense of enquiry into some of the most fascinating civilisations from the past. Opportunities for practical work, including craftwork and model making, and access to Internet activities are just some of the teaching strategies used to stimulate the students' interest and improve their skills.
World History is studied in Year 7 only and followed up in Years 9 and 10 with a focus on Australian history as part of the School Certificate program of study.

Other tasks include Literacy class activities, research tasks, tests or examinations. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in oral presentations.
