Music

The Stage 5 Music course builds on previous knowledge established in Year 8. It aims to encourage an active participation in performing, composing and listening to music. The course develops students’ awareness of the cultural and past musical traditions as well as contemporary music practices.

Each student is actively encouraged to respond to music in an individual way, further increasing their enjoyment of the art form. All students studying Music in Years 9 & 10 must undertake individual instrumental or vocal tuition and contribute to at least one College ensemble.
