Science Club
The aim of science club is to provide 'hands on' experiences for students in Years 7 and 8 to foster an interest in science and encourage the development of new skills. Fundamental concepts and skills learned in class are explored in greater depth in a fun and exciting way. A diverse range of activities are undertaken from all disciplines of science such as launching rockets, making a crystal garden, biological dissections and spectacular chemical reactions. The informal setting allows students to freely interact with each other and teachers in a journey of discovery and learning.
In Stages 5 and 6 students have the opportunity to participate in the Royal Australian Chemical Institute’s Annual Titration Competition. The competition is an invaluable experience for the students which is directly related to elements of the NSW HSC Chemistry syllabus.
