Pastoral Care Structures
All teachers are responsible for pastoral care. Students are arranged into home room groups based on the College House system. A vertical pastoral structure exists for students in Years 8 to 12. A teacher is assigned to each class and in effect has the dual responsibility of being a mentor teacher and a House teacher.
Leading each Year group is a Pastoral Coordinator who remains with them through the two years of a stage of their education. Pastoral Coordinators rotate within a stage. The College employs two Counsellors (male/female) in a job share arrangement.
The Pastoral Coordinators meet on a regular basis with the Principal, Assistant Principal, College Counsellor, Youth Ministry Coordinator and House Coordinator. Matters of interest and concern are shared and discussed in the best interests of the students.
