Italian
Italian is taught in Year 8. It is elected by the students as part of their mandatory study of 100 hours of a language other than English in Stage 4.
The Italian course in Year 8 to provide the opportunity for students to continue their language learning in Year 9 through to Year 12 without interruption. This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to acquire and develop practical skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Knowledge of Italian will enhance one's understanding of not only their own language but also of the diverse culture that is represented in the Italian communities of our local area.
